Megan Glynn Zollinger holds a BA in Dance from Chapman University, and an MFA in Dance from the University of California, Irvine. At UCI, Megan worked directly under the tutelage of Donald McKayle, who was her thesis mentor and advisor. Addicted, a full-length production, was an original work that she wrote, directed and choreographed. She choreographed a world premiere play, Eve’s Rapture, directed by Robert Cohen and written by Bryan Reynolds that premiered at the Hayworth Theatre in Los Angeles. In April 2009, a new dance work she created entitled a tearful view, was chosen to represent UCI at the California College Dance Invitational. Upon returning to the bay area after graduate school, she worked as the Jazz Dance Director at Westlake School for the Performing Arts in Daly City, and continued to teach and choreograph with the Lisa Clark Dancers, where she had trained. Megan’s former students have been seen on television shows such as Live to Dance, America’s Best Dance Crew, America’s Got Talent, and So You Think You Can Dance. Many have been featured on Broadway, in music videos, films, and are touring internationally, performing and teaching. While completing her undergraduate degree at Chapman University, Megan performed as a member of the hip hop company, Pulse, under the direction of Kari Jensen. Megan was formerly an Assistant Professor of Dance and the Director of the BFA Dance program at Colorado Mesa University. While in Colorado, she was a returning master teacher and guest choreographer at the Colorado Dance Education Organization and presented work and taught at American College Dance Association conferences.
