Ovation and Spectrum Announce OASIS as Award Recipient

The grant will enable OASIS, a Santa Ana-based nonprofit organization, to continue to do their unique and powerful work elevating local creatives and communities through art. The grant will help fund after-school arts mentoring, training and workshops, and art, music and theater related events for under-resourced youth in Orange County communities.
“We have partnered with Spectrum to recognize the outstanding work of some highly creative and effective arts organizations in their markets and provide them with funding to help further their programmatic and artistic efforts,” said John Malkin, Executive Vice President, Content Distribution, Ovation. “Spectrum has been a great partner and supporter of Ovation and we are extremely pleased that they have joined us for our first Stand for the Arts Awards program.”

In addition, Spectrum will also run public service announcements to highlight its Stand for the Arts partnership with Ovation and reinforce the value local arts organizations bring to communities across the country.
Grant recipients were chosen based on three criteria: their level of community outreach and engagement, their ability to create inclusive access to artistic programming and their innovative approach to arts education and skills development.
